UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:

HOW DO I USE MAYA?

I don’t know. This is a difficult question. I downloaded Maya for the first time today (ie: Monday). By force of habit using Flash i wanted to hit the spacebar to make things play, but it doesn’t work that way. I have no idea what is going on.

HOW DO I USE MIARMY?

What I have understood from playing with miarmy and watching tutorials whilst working on the file is that the basic idea of how to use it is to first download one of their sample “agents”, and then to create and scatter a series of “placements”, and then populate the agents in those placements, and rewind everything (very important) and press play. Oh and vortex and push/pull forcefields.

HOW DOES I ENABLE MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON ON MACBOOK TRACKPAD?

Too much time was wasted on this. In Maya, you need to use a middle mouse click to drag imported agents under Miarmy Control. Sadly I don't have a mouse. I had to google this and eventually used MagicPrefs to set three-finger-click as middle mouse button.

HOW DO I RENDER?

I honestly don’t know how to render anything in Maya. There are too many buttons and I'm confused....
