A to Z of the Kitchen

In this immersive VR experience, you explore the galaxy in a very special spaceship - a 3D scan or digital twin of the artist’s kitchen/living room. The controls of this very advanced and technological spaceship are built into the kitchen counter which is interspersed with cooking utensils, ordinary cooking appliances, frying pans, and stove top.

Peering through where the backsplash used to be, the player must manipulate the complicated array of domestic items and kitchen equipment to steer the home/spacecraft/rover through fantastical landscapes, recalling Martha Rosler’s performance of “Semiotics of the Kitchen”.
