How many GB of data does youtube use? YouTube streaming video users have the option of watching four different resolution options: Low, which requires 0.3GB per hour. Medium (or standard definition), which requires 0.7GB per hour. High, which requires approximately 3GB (HD) to 7GB (Ultra HD) per hour.
the data would range more or less between this for 1 hr
240p ~ 150 MB 360p ~ 250 MB 480p ~ 400 MB 720p ~ 800-900 MB 1080p ~ 1.2 -1.4 GB
