The exhibition is created by young local artist Debbie Ding and features an installation that highlights the significance of the Singapore River. It also aids viewers in understanding its history and geography.

Spotlight on the S'pore River

FOR this year's Open Call 2010, an annual showcase first initiated by The Substation in 2008 to support strongly artistic, critical and rigorous visual arts proposals, The Substation presents The Singapore River as a Psychogeographical Faultline. The exhibition is created by young local artist Debbie Ding and features an installation that highlights the significance of the Singapore River. It also aids viewers in understanding its history and geography.

Long Term Goals for 2010

  • Hold one exhibition in Singapore
  • Understand more about electronics and arduino
  • Improve Conversational and Dialect Chinese
  • Learn Japanese and prepare/sit for JLPT 4
  • Make music again (computer music!)
  • Become a tin whistler of Pied Piper standards
  • Write prose or poetry again
  • Learn Amigurumi

Things to remember

  • Don't waste any time on negative or unproductive people.
  • If you want to get something done, do it yourself.
  • Never turn on the email while trying to work.
