Singapore Apartment

Size of Singapore HDB Flats:

  • Studio - either 35 or 45 square metres
  • 2 room flat - 45 square metres
  • 3 room flat - 60-65 square metres
  • 4 room flat - around 90 square metres
  • 5 room flat - around 115 square metres
  • Executive flats (EC) - 130 square metres

Korea Apartment

1 pyeong = 3.3058 square meters = 35.5833 square feet

Pyeong is the unit of the size of rooms or buildings in Korea. A studio apartment will generally be around 10 to 15 pyeong, a house somewhere around 50 or more, and the smallest of rooms, consisting of only a bed and a bit of floor space for students, will be as little as 1.5 pyeong.

Anecdotal information on the recommended number of people to different pyeong size apartments:

  • 20 pyeong = 2 people
  • 40++ = 4-5 people
