Chain Harvest (Relational Flower Shop)
This project reimagines Hong Kong’s Prince Edward Flower Market as a participatory digital ecosystem, blending horticultural heritage with Web3 innovation. Inspired by Pang Yuen Garden Co., a family-run shop with deep roots in indigenous farming, the work explores hybrid commerce through three speculative frameworks: Handisk Farm (a phygital NFT plant-trading system), The Relational Flower Shop (a VR interface of care), and Courier (a sensor-based 3d-printed plant that bridges physical and virtual care). Centring owner Mrs. Tsang’s generational wisdom, the project challenges sterile metaverse narratives, proposing instead a living archive where tradition and technology co-evolve, preserving floral legacies while redefining future modes of exchange.
